More photos of the Weissach Bike Spyder #37. A new friend of mine sent me photos of this historic bicycle designed and built in 1992 in Weissach, Germany by the head of Porsche R&D Dr. Ulrich Bez. The bike is 1 of 50 built to the same specifications as the original Porsche Bike Spyder 9.85 prototype in 1990 using carbon, aluminum and titanium. This bike weighs only 19 pounds and is high-tech by today's standards and way ahead of it's time in 1990. Amazing find in Germany and I'm excited this bike has surfaced for photos.
Follow my continuing passion to explore new adventures on Porsche bicycles. I have conquered a Century ride with a Porsche mountain bike, the Death Ride on a Porsche touring bike, the 184.5-mile Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath in 2020, the 370-mile combined C&O/GAP trail in 2021 and the 237-mile Florida Coast to Coast ride in 2022. And just completed the Maryland and California Coast & Coast Porsche road bike adventure!
