I’m trying to decide if I should ride the C&O and GAP 340-mile ride this fall with the original OEM front bike shocks or the aftermarket German-made carbon fiber fork that I used on the Death Ride. Something I’ll have to ponder over a few biers.
Follow my continuing passion to explore new adventures on Porsche bicycles. I have conquered a Century ride with a Porsche mountain bike, the Death Ride on a Porsche touring bike, the 184.5-mile Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath in 2020, the 370-mile combined C&O/GAP trail in 2021 and the 237-mile Florida Coast to Coast ride in 2022. And just completed the Maryland and California Coast & Coast Porsche road bike adventure!

New Road America personal best
New 2:08.006 personal lap record at Road America in the Porsche 997. Just loving this car! Can't wait until the spring PCA Sim Racing Series 6!
2004 Porsche Bike X shock cleaning
I took apart, cleaned and greased the 2004 Porsche Bike X original front forks today. These forks aren’t on the bike currently. However, I am considering reinstalling for the fall C&O/GAP attempt. A little extra cushioning might be nice on the 340 mile ride.

New Porsche Bike?
Word on the street is Porsche is announcing a new 2021 e Bike in early March. I found this story online with a camouflaged prototype e bike. I’m looking forward to learning more about Porsche’s latest bicycle.
C&O and GAP?
I am strongly considering riding the entire 340 mile C&O and GAP this fall. My original plan was to ride the Great Allegheny Passage in 2021 after riding the Chesapeake and Ohio in 2020. But why not do both in one go? How about adding an Ortlieb bike rack and bags and ride unassisted? I do love my bike gear. We'll see how the training goes.

Winter training
With cold and snowy days this winter, all my training has been inside on the stationary bike. I brought my 2004 Porsche Bike X inside to think about all the adventures I’d like to chase in 2021.

Boxster ride height
Finally getting a chance to drive the 986 a little after the strut replacement and bad weather, the ride height is starting to settle into the stock setting. Maybe a little higher than stock. Hoping it will settle in shortly once I can drive a little more.
