5K recovery run

Jogged a slow and easy recovery 3.1 miles today after yesterday’s timed 5K. Felt good. Legs a little sore and heavy. I am hoping to run 4 miles tomorrow afternoon before my scheduled rest day.

Garage time

Love hanging out in my garage. I’m starting to line up a few winter car and bike projects around my running schedule. Living in Maryland makes winters, which aren’t too cold, possible for garage car work. A small heater sometimes helps. Last winter I changed out the struts on the Boxster. This winter might be Cayenne brakes, oil changes and a few other smaller projects.

First 5K in a very long time

Ran my first 5K timed race in quite awhile this morning. Ran with the small Parkrun group on the Baltimore and Annapolis trail wearing the Porsche Design Endurance Boost running shoes. Got a 26:17 time. Felt rather good for a first 2021 timed effort.

The Weissach Bike Spyder #37 has arrived in Austria! Dr. Ulrich Bez, the designer of the original Porsche Bike Spyder prototype, will participate in a photoshoot with this bike, the prototype and the last Porsche 993 built. After the photoshoot, the Bike Spyder #37 will be shipped to the USA to go on display at the PCA National office in Columbia, Maryland.

Driving the 919 Hybrid at Spa

I love driving the Porsche 919 Hybrid. That prototype racer is amazing. And at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps at sunset is intense. Great way to end an evening.

Air pressure check day

Checking and adjusting air pressure in the 2001 Boxster, 2006 Cayenne S, 1998 Bike S, and 2004 Bike X today … while having an adult beverage in a “Pink Pig” Porsche glass no less. Good times in the garage!

Green Porsche Bike

A friend found a green Porsche Bike for sale on Craigslist. Until now I've only seen the white Bike or Bike S from the current line of Porsche Bikes. Apparently, this forest green color was included in the line, likely around the 2012-2014 range. I love finding new Porsche bikes or colors. Great find!

Another 5K 2021 PB

Ran a quick neighborhood 5K in the cool and windy fall weather yesterday afternoon. The weather made me run faster to warm up and get out of the cold, resulting in another 2021 5K personal best. I love this stage of getting back into running, as it seems like each run is another season personal best. I again used the Porsche Design Endurance Boost running shoes.

... also ran a slow recovery 5K today.

4-mile 2021 PB

Back home, I ran a quick four-miler today around lunch time with the Porsche Design Endurance Boost running shoes. New 2021 fastest time on my four-mile route. Felt good.

Greenwich Concours, part two

The second day of the Greenwich Concours didn’t have as many Porsches. Here’s a few pics of the Sunday show cars.

Greenwich Concours, part one

I drove up to Greenwich, Connecticut for the Greenwich Concours. Today featured the 'Porschella' car display. These photos are my favorite cars.

Treadmill running on the road

On the road for a car show event this weekend, I got in some treadmill time with the Porsche Design Endurance Boost running shoes. Early morning today. I hope I can do the same tomorrow.

Bike Spyder #37 picked up

Fabian Bez, son of the Bike Spyder designer and member of the Bike Spyder #37 team picked up the rare bicycle today in Stuttgart, Germany and sent me these photos. The bike is going to Austria next week for a photo shoot before shipping to the USA. Very exciting!

Bike Spyder #37 coming to the USA!

In what has been an amazing personal experience in my Porsche-life, I have organized the purchase of the Weissach Bike Spyder 37/200 from the bike's first and only owner in Germany. I had help from a new friend and son of the person that created the original Porsche Bike Spyder 9.85 prototype. Ten PCA members combined our efforts to fund this purchase and I led the communication with the seller. The money was wired and my new friend is picking up the bike tomorrow. Our team's goal is to set up a photo shoot with this bike, the prototype and the gentlemen responsible for the first Porsche bicycle. The photos will end up with a story about Porsche Bikes in an upcoming Porsche Panorama magazine. Once the photos are taken, we're planning to ship the bike from Europe to the US and display the Bike Spyder #37 at the PCA National office for all to see. We'll include pages from the May 1991 Christophorus magazine that features the prototype Bike Spyder in the display.
