Memorial Day ride

 

Quick neighborhood 14-miler Memorial Day morning on the 1998 Porsche Bike S before washing the 2006 Porsche Cayenne S.

Rode the 2004 Porsche Bike X 40 miles on my Baltimore Washington International Airport to Annapolis route this morning. Great spring ride with perfect weather and smelled like sweet flowers for most of the trip. 

Tri-Wing S-91x Pegasus Starfighter: on-screen debut

The Tri-Wing S-91x Pegasus Starfighter made an on-screen debut in the first episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+ Friday.

The Tri-Wing Starfighter was a collaboration between Porsche and Lucasfilm, who worked together specifically to design this starship as part of the promotion for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Its design was revealed in a video and at the Hollywood movie premiere.

The Star Wars fictional story behind the starfighter is that it was active during the Imperial Era, introduced nine years before the battle of Yavin. One Tri-Wing was briefly seen at the capital city of the Core Worlds planet Alderaan, Aldera. Princess Leia Organa witnessed the Tri-Wing depart the city from a forested area (Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode One). Leia hypothesized that an Aquillian Ranger was piloting it to scout for the Merson pirates. Aquillian Rangers were allies of the Jedi. The Tri-wing Starfighter went on to serve during the New Republic Era, and was used by the New Republic and Resistance.

Mount Vernon 40-mile ride

Four members of the Porsche Bike team rode the Mount Vernon Trail 40 miles today, including a red Bike S, blue Bike FS, grey Bike FS and black Bike X. We started near the center point of the north/south point-to-point trail early at 7am to avoid the mid-day heat. We started the south segment first, then riding back by our cars to the north end. The trail is 18 miles long with Georgetown on one end and George Washington's Mount Vernon home on the other. We mostly rode along the Potomac River and had beautiful sunrise views of the river and the Washington DC monuments with a couple side adventures which totaled the 40 miles. Great ride with four Porsche bicycles!
