Rebuilt the forks on a 1996 Porsche Bike FS for a friend this morning. This is the 1996 shock without the spring, just a lot of elastomers. The style of this fork is always more challenging to reassemble. I definitely prefer the shock with the spring/elastomers. Took it out for a test ride and it felt very good. Next I’ll change out the tires and tubes.
Follow my continuing passion to explore new adventures on Porsche bicycles. I have conquered a Century ride with a Porsche mountain bike, the Death Ride on a Porsche touring bike, the 184.5-mile Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath in 2020, the 370-mile combined C&O/GAP trail in 2021 and the 237-mile Florida Coast to Coast ride in 2022. And just completed the Maryland and California Coast & Coast Porsche road bike adventure!

Bike S neighborhood ride
Quick 14 miles around my neighborhood on the 1998 Porsche Bike S after starting the 1996 Bike FS rebuild project. Today was just cleaning why the elastomers are shipping. Once the forks are refurbished, I’ll polish the bike and send it off to my friend and new owner.

Modified Bike S
40 mile Porsche Bike X ride
Another gorgeous June day in Maryland. Fortunately, I was free for a 40-mile ride this morning. Rode my favorite BWI to Baltimore/Annapolis route on the 2004 Porsche Bike X.

Porsche Clubs International 70th anniversary photo
I participated in the 2022 Porsche Parade in the Poconos before the photo shoot for the Porsche club world-wide 70th anniversary photo shoot. I drove my 2006 Cayenne S to the event and was able to participate in both the Porsche Parade and 70th anniversary drone photo.
Another Bike FS rebuild begins
Back home in Maryland after the 2022 Porsche Parade in the Poconos with the 1996 Porsche Bike FS owned by a friend. I’ll start the fork rebuilt shortly. Looking forward to it.
