New Hot Wheels Gulf Porsche 917 LH and Gulf transporter arrived today. Looks great with the other Gulf Porsches.

Another morning ride on the 1998 Porsche Bike S. Did a little extra through the park and ended up with 15 miles. 

Le Mans practice

I am practicing for the upcoming August PCA Endurance Le Mans fundraising event. The six-hour race supports Operation Motorsport. I am hoping to learn the track over the next week and so!

Quick little 14 mile neighborhood ride on the 1998 Bike S this morning. Very warm and humid. Summer is in high gear!

Cool cars

A couple cool Porsches showed up today. A 356 that attended the very first Porsche Parade in 1956 and a 964 Carrera Cup.

Pittsburgh Grand Prix, Day Two

I helped out in the morning at the Pittsburgh Grand Prix and drove home after lunch. Weather was great in the morning. What a great event!

Pittsburgh Grand Prix, Day One

 

First day of the Pittsburgh Grand Prix. Great day including massive Porsche parking, vintage car racing and good friends. The event is unique as they close the streets through Schenley Park and let amateur racers compete in front of an enthusiast crowd. Also special, the very first and very last 928s were on display together. A first time anywhere. And the day ended with a bang … from a thunderstorm. 

14 miles on the Bike S

Another quick 14 mile ride around my neighborhood on the 1998 Porsche Bike S today. Immediately after, I headed up to the Pittsburgh Grand Prix. Porsche is the featured marque this year. Should be a fun weekend!

Bike S ride while negotiating a Bike R purchase

While on a warm summer morning neighborhood ride on the 1998 Porsche Bike S, I kept stopping to help negotiate a deal for a 2002 Porsche Bike R carbon fiber that is for sale in Germany. Interesting morning!

1996 Bike FS pick up

 

A friend picked up his new 1996 Bike FS today. After a shock rebuild and general clean up and tune, the vintage Porsche Bike is off to new adventures! The magazine he is holding is the February 1998 edition of PCA's Porsche Panorama, featuring the first story PCA published about Porsche Bikes that he wrote 24 years ago.

Carbon Bike R

Found a 2002 or 2003 Porsche Bike R Carbon for sale on German eBay. Unfortunately, it is a medium size frame or I would have attempted to purchase it!

New Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT

A new Cayenne Turbo GT stopped by today. Way more vehicle than my Cayenne S for sure. Love the little details.

Bike RS and Bike X cleaning

After the BWI to Annapolis ride, I cleaned, degreased and waxed my Bike X and a friend's Bike RS. Both are ready for the next ride.

BWI x Annapolis Porsche Bike team ride

Four members of our Porsche Bike team rode around BWI airport down to Annapolis and back for 40 miles. We had a Bike RS, Bike X and two Bike FS out for an early 7AM start. Weather was great and I enjoyed having more Porsche Bikes along of the ride!
