Proud of this effort.
Follow my continuing passion to explore new adventures on Porsche bicycles. I have conquered a Century ride with a Porsche mountain bike, the Death Ride on a Porsche touring bike, the 184.5-mile Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath in 2020, the 370-mile combined C&O/GAP trail in 2021 and the 237-mile Florida Coast to Coast ride in 2022. And just completed the Maryland and California Coast & Coast Porsche road bike adventure!

BWI from home
Found a new back roads way to the Baltimore Washington International Airport bike path today. This route went through a warehouse area near the airport. Since it’s Saturday, the roads were empty making it a stress free ride. I noticed a DHL facility that reminded me of the Porsche RS Spyder … one of my favorite Porsche racers.

First Porsche Panorama Porsche Bike story!
Found a Porsche Bike article in the February 1998 edition of Porsche Panorama today. The four-page story was a review of the first-gen Bike S and Bike FS by a PCA Potomac Region member. I do believe this is the first Porsche Bike story in the PCA publication.

Bike S spring 15 miler
Weather is about prefect now. Taking advantage, I rode the 1998 Porsche Bike S 15 miles around my neighborhood and out around the military base. I had good pace today. Felt great.

Boxster 986 engine air filter
Changed the engine air filter in the 2001 Porsche Boxster 986 today. Preventive maintenance is important.
Suzuka Sim Race
Started P20, moved up to P17, spun out back to P25 and finished P20 last night at the PCA Sim Racing Series 8 race at Suzuka. Fun driving the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, but not one of my better finishes.

Apple x Porsche
Porsche shared that the car company recently met with Apple. The end result was possible future collaboration. Since the meeting, speculation ran rampant. Some are saying that the collaboration could produce new Porsche Bike accessories.
A blog about Apple mentioned:“So while Apple's Car Key and possibly a CarPlay-like App for electric bikes could be realistic shorter-term joint projects between Porsche and Apple, there could also be a few larger projects where the two companies could collaborate on over time.”

Patuxent Wildlife Refuge 24 miles
With spring weather improving, it is time to return to some of the mountain bike trails around my house. The Patuxent Wildlife Refuge is one of my favorites. Today I rode 24 miles on a mix of paved backroads and dirt forest service roads with the 1998 Bike S. Some road paving and trail maintenance improvements made the ride more enjoyable. I love the marshy bogs, small streams and the many lakes. I look forward to going back again soon.
Cayenne summer tires
Changed the 2006 Cayenne S back to the summer tires this morning. The Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires are on the last summer season.

New tire on the Bike X
I noticed a small shard of glass sticking out of the back tire on the 2004 Porsche Bike X this week. I think I picked that up while on the March Florida Coast to Coast ride. Pulling it out left a hole. Apparently the Continental Gatorskin tires held up. So, today I replaced the tire with another 700cx28 Continental Gatorskin. I am hoping to ride 40 miles with the Bike X Saturday.
Summit Point Sim Racing
Finished P17 at Summit Point last night. Not a great finish and only passed one car, but ran a clean 0x race and had a blast.

Afternoon Bike S ride
Short 12-mile neighborhood ride on the 1998 Bike S this afternoon. Another day of great weather. Today into the 80s. Noticed this red Cayenne for a photo opportunity.

Afternoon Bike S ride
Over 70° today! I just had to do some sort of little bike ride. So I took the 1998 Porsche Bike S out for a quick seven miles. I’m so glad spring is here!

GT2 RS drive
Flew to Las Vegas for a weekend with my brothers and drove a Porsche 911 GT2 RS at the Speed Vegas track. The 700 horsepower, twin turbo, race inspired supercar is nicknamed “the widow-maker”. Driving seven laps flat out around the 1.3 mile, 11 turn racetrack in the Las Vegas desert was a dream come true.
