I had a chance to preview Rennsport Reunion including seeing the PCA Club Racing posters I designed and the Porsche 356 #1.
Follow my continuing passion to explore new adventures on Porsche bicycles. I have conquered a Century ride with a Porsche mountain bike, the Death Ride on a Porsche touring bike, the 184.5-mile Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath in 2020, the 370-mile combined C&O/GAP trail in 2021 and the 237-mile Florida Coast to Coast ride in 2022. And just completed the Maryland and California Coast & Coast Porsche road bike adventure!

Heading to Rennsport!
I just landed in San Jose, California on my way to Rennsport Reunion VI at Laguna Seca. I just had to wear the Porsche Design EC Running shoes since I'll be walking miles and miles over the next five days. Rennsport is an all Porsche Motorsport event with hundreds of Porsche race cars from past to the present. I can't wait!

Oktoberfest!
Oktoberfest! Today I went to Old Stein Inn for lunch to celebrate Oktoberfest. It was raining but the covered Biergarten area was fantastic. The food and beer was excellent and service was top notch.
Tight garage
With a tight two-car garage full of Porsche cars and bikes, I have to use every inch. Because of this, I decided to hang the 1998 Bike S from the ceiling between the Boxster and Cayenne. I'm also prepping to repaint the garage walls and cabinets. This garage will look great when I'm finished.

Flat, part 2
After replacing my rear tire and tube from a glass puncture, I didn't get four miles down the road this morning when I developed a wobble and then a flat in the front tire. The bead in the front tire as a split. Don't know what caused that yet but I'm done riding for the day.

Oktoberfest!
Oktoberfest doesn't officially start until tomorrow but I am more than willing to start celebrating early! I just stopped by the corner store and stocked up on German beer and wine. I'm ready for Oktoberfest!
Another 5K
Cooler mornings feel less humid and easier to run. Jogged another 5K around the park in the Porsche Design EC Running shoes. Left good.

Cayenne supported cycling speed record
I found this on the web today. A Porsche Cayenne helped break a European bicycle land speed record. Maybe I should try this with my Porsche Bike and Porsche Cayenne?
Early morning jog
Another early morning run with the Porsche Design EC Running shoes. Also another 5K distance. I'm moving up from 2 mile jogs to 3 miles. But I still want to ride around the airport again this weekend!

New tire size for the Bike X
After Sunday's flat tire I'm changing the tires and tubes on the 2004 Porsche X. I haven't worked on this bike in a while. With the flat I've had an opportunity to try something different.
I was running 700c x 28mm Continental Gatorskin tires on the front and back on the Bike X. With the flat forcing a tire change I wanted to try out a different combination.
Stopping by the local bike shop today, I bought a Continental Gatorskin 700c x 25mm tire and decided to install that in the front and move the remaining 700c x 28mm to the back.
I've been reading on bicycle forums that having a larger tire in the back supports the larger weight and narrower in the front provides better cornering responsiveness. So with this flat I just changed my tires to try this new configuration.
I'll finish the install tonight and try out the new tire set up Saturday.

Bike X BWI 20 miles
I decided to bypass a run today in favor of a bike ride. I haven't ridden any of the Porsche bicycles since moving to Maryland. Instead I've been running with Porsche Design shoes.
Studying the iPhone map it looked like pedaling around the Baltimore airport would be a good 20 mile ride. Since I haven't ridden in a while and my legs are still sore from running the last few days, 20 miles is a perfect distance.
I selected the 2004 Porsche Bike X road bike for the ride. I started from the house under cloudy skies and a slight breeze on backroads toward the airport. Once connecting to the BWI airport bike path, I was pleasantly surprised on what a great bike path it was. The path was a combination of along the roadside and through open fields and dense forest. The path pavement was in good condition too. Other people were riding it. I could tell this is a popular bike path.
I ended up with the 20 miles but ride before I got home I picked up a piece glass in the back tire and got a flat. At least it was close to home. These tires made it through all of the Death Ride training and the Death Ride itself. I guess this is a sign I need new tires and tubes!
This ride was so awesome I want to do it again this next weekend. But first I need to replace the tires and tubes.

Mushrooms and rain
Found some cool mushrooms on my easy jog this morning. Then it rained on me. Two easy miles this morning.

4 miles
Four miles - a new personal best in Maryland. Well, not much to brag about but as I increase miles I'll get lighter and faster. My legs are starting to feel a little stronger again.
These Porsche Design EC Running shoes are simply awesome. Great training shoes and prefect road running shoes for a mix of dry and wet conditions.
Today was the beginning of hurricane Florence touching Maryland. The wind felt nice with the humidity and it started raining lightly as I finished. Felt good for me but the hurricane is causing a lot of damage to the south.

Foggy
Getting used to the morning fog jog in Maryland. A hurricane is headed this way but will likely miss me so I should be able to continue my training using the new Porsche Design EC Running shoes.

Slowly getting it back...
Another 2+ miles this morning. This time I included a quarter mile tempo run into the mix. I ran in the 9 minute mile range. Not fast, but the fastest I've gone in a while. I'm still working on strengthening my bones and muscles, but it felt great to move a little faster.
I run by this 911 turbo each run. I had to take a picture.

Rain!
A short run in some light rain this morning. Really not much rain more like a dense fog, but nice cool 60 degree temperatures. Best morning run in Maryland so far.
